Doon Baluni Defence Academy was established in the month of August last year 2023. The aim of this academy is to prepare children for the written examinations of Sainik School, National Military College of India (RIMC), Rashtriya Military School (RMS) and National Defense Academy (NDA).

The aim of Doon Baluni Defence Academy is to provide all-round development of children, prepare them to play a positive role in the society, teach them to take responsibility and make them courageous and good human beings so that they can join the mainstream of the society and perform the duties of a responsible citizen.

Admission of children in Doon Baluni Defence Academy starts from class 5th. Apart from BDA all the subjects of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the students are also trained in competitive exams, personality development or physical training/sports. After the end of the classes, the children of class 11th and 12th are made to prepare for the written examination of National Defence Academy from 2 pm to 4 pm. Students who are successful in the written examination are also made to prepare for 'Service Selection Board (SSB)'.

For providing guidance in Doon Baluni Defence Academy - Colonel P.P. Budakoti (SSB Specialist, GTO, IO, Director Doon Baluni Defence Academy), Colonel S.S. Shahi (Sena Medal) and Colonel Vivek Gupta (Vishisht Seva Medal), are always in action. Skilled teachers have been selected for Doon Baluni Defence Academy. Besides, separate classrooms have also been provided to provide proper environment for studies.
